JANUARY 2013 

The second day of the new year we went buying the classic supplies for the month. The next day, 3 January, the supplies were distributed to all the sick and disabled people on our list.

On 4 January Pia visited all the old people in Tambon Khayai and offered Thai sweets (bought in a local shop as support for the local community) for the New Year.

On 5 January a special visit was brought to a leukemia patient, just returning from a stay in the hospital. Supplies were offered as well a cash donation of 500 Baht.

A poor family paid daily for the transport of their child to and from the school. In order to save them the daily transport costs, we bought a bicycle for the child.

On 11 January there was a day for the children organized at the local school in Ko Loeng. To support the event we bought seven large boxes with donuts for the children. Pia informed if there were any children of poor family. Three children were given basic supplies such as milk, rice and oil, including 100 Baht to help in the payment for their transport going to school. 

There was also a family with two handicapped people at Ban Ko Loeng. The home was provided with 2 packs of 10 Kg rice, 24 bottles of drinking water, cooking oil and 300 Baht in cash.
